Geocache Description:

Fredericton has 3 very large Canadian flags flying at establishments in the Uptown area of the Southside.  For some reason, every time I see one of these flags the song "The Maple Leaf Forever" comes to mind.  I have never known any of the lyrics, just the fact that the song served as Canada's unofficial anthem before "O Canada" was penned.

According to Wikipedia:

"The Maple Leaf Forever" is a Canadian song written by Alexander Muir (1830–1906) in 1867, the year of Canada's Confederation. He wrote the work after serving with the Queen's Own Rifles of Toronto in the Battle of Ridgeway against the Fenians in 1866.
Muir was said to have been inspired to write this song by a large maple tree which stood on his street in front of Maple Cottage, a house at Memory Lane and Laing Street in Toronto. The song became quite popular in English Canada and for many years served as an unofficial national anthem. Because of its strongly British perspective it became unpopular amongst French Canadians, and this prevented it from ever becoming an official anthem, even though it was seriously considered for that role and was even used as a de facto anthem in many instances.

The lyrics have been tweaked several times over the years and there are various renditions to be found on Youtube.  Here are the links for two of my favorites.

I decided to put this cache out thinking it might be helpful for those participating in WINCAT 2021 wanting to claim the Four-For task. It is an easy 2 stage multi with the first stage being a simple field puzzle to compute the co-ordinates of the final located at N 45 56.xxx  W66 40.yyy

When facing the front of the building:

How many Canadian Flags can you see?  Call this A.  Then xxx= A x 188

How many times is the word Canada on the sign?    Call this B.  Then yyy = B x 160 +1
