L’église Saint-Etienne, de style néo-gothique,
a été construite de 1907 à 1908
suivant les plans de l’architecte liégeois Hubert Froment.
Le bâtiment est en grès et pierre bleue.

Madame de Diest, née Maria Claes,
donna une partie de sa grande fortune en 1906
pour favoriser la construction de cette église.
