Hemlock: This cache has been brought to my attention via a "needs archived log." This cache has been under the weather for over 4 months, which should be more than enough time to replace the cache. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don't think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

When/if this cache is replaced, please email me at hemlock@geocachingadmin.com and I'll be more than happy to take a look at your cache again. If it is still is within the guidelines for cache placement and posting, it will then be unarchived.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

Our very first cache placed in our very own "Island In The Hills", Tierrasanta. This should be relatively easy. There are several possible approaches to the cache site. One main trail even has a sidewalk. You don't have to stray too far off any trails (please heed the warning signs about explosive ordinance in this area formerly known as Camp Elliott).

Our heart felt gratitude goes out to the fine men and women of the San Diego area Police and Fire Departments for sparing our Tierrasanta area. Also, our condolences to those not so fortunate people who suffered losses in the disaster.

As of today, November 08, 2003 we are upgrading this cache to an ammo box. The area of the cache was untouched by the fires and is still very beautiful so please stop by and visit. We are going to try to conceal it better than the way it was since it did get looted a couple of times in the past. We are also placing a whole bunch of new stuff in there. It will contain the following:

And of course, log book, pen, and Geoff & Izzy geocaching cards. We are on our way out the door right now to put it in its home. Should be there by 2PM today.
