This is where Kickapoo Creek runs into Lake Palestine, which is a man made reservoir. Kickapoo Creek is an unclassified waterbody within the Upper Neches River Basin. It starts on the map up by Canton, TX and runs down to Lake Palestine, a total of 41 miles. It is about 120 ft. accross at this point.
It's shape is made by water erosion that continuse to shape the creek. Water erosion is also what shaped the Grand Canyon, and many other land formations such as: most canyons, riverbeds, and other objects. Water erosion is one of the main things that makes canyons and rivers. It also can quikly change the landscape. It can even change the shape of rivers. When Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980 it moved rivers and even a lake. Water erosion is one of the most powerful processes to shape things.
One day in the future mabey it will even become a large river due to water erosion, which could happen vary quickly like we saw with Mt. St. Helens.
To log this cache all you must do message me the answers to these questions:
1. What processes is involved this river's formation.
2. From what has been said here, what may happen if this river does not stop flowing for say 100 years?
You also may ake a photo of you or a personal item at the creek.
All logs that I have not receved answers for will be deleted.
