This is the second geocache that I have placed in the newest property that the Ottawa County Parks Department acquired last October, as part of their goal to provide opportunities for everyone to get out and explore the beautiful parks and open spaces available in Ottawa County. This area has opportunites for hiking, biking and fishing, so take advantage of this great area.
At one time this area was a gravel mining business, and apparently, as part of the business, as railroad track was laid, that is similar to the one that is used just east of here, to put the Grand Lady back in the Grand River, when the ice has melted and the cruises down the river begin.
