Red Herring Reverse Wherigo 🔀 ➿

The cache IS located within 2 miles of the posted coordinates. If you don't have the Wherigo app, download it from your device's app store. Your reverse adventure will begin by downloading the Wherigo cartridge- The Reverse Cache – beta- located HERE onto your compatible device. If you are using an iPhone, you may download the cartridge directly to the phone:

How to download the Reverse Cache Cartridge directly to your iPhone:
1. Make sure you have the Wherigo App downloaded to your phone from your app store.
2. Open the app and use the search tab. Enter GC97HPY.
3. This will allow you to download the Reverse Cache Cartridge.
4. Once you have the cartridge downloaded, you can use it for all Reverse Wherigos.

The Android app works somewhat differently, but the cartridge can be downloaded from the link above (HERE).

You are now in possession of a "virtual reverse cache box" which does not show you the coordinates but only your current distance to the geocache. You can start at the posted coordinates or anywhere in the world! Use the reverse cache box as many times as you need to reach the final. The reverse cache box keeps track of every time you ask for the distance to the cache.

The goal is to see how quickly you can find the cache with the fewest hints from the reverse cache box! Of course, this is a Red Herring Reverse Wherigo.

You need to enter 3 codes into your Wherigo cartridge at the beginning of the Wherigo.

When you reach the final, you will receive some statistics about your adventure. Please consider posting these with your log. You will also receive a personal password which you can use to access the code generator to create your own reverse Wherigo. Save the game so you can access this password later (or take a screenshot) and create your own reverse Wherigo!

The cartridge was created by Waldmeister and is available to download from the Wherigo.com website. Waldmeister-'s "The first Reverse Cache [WIG]"- GC357G1- is the original cache in this family. If you wish to create your own reverse Wherigo using the password, instructions can be found in the cartridge or by visiting this FAQ. The creator only asks that if you create your own that you let him know once it is published.
