Another Golden Bay special sign. I love the way these signs have been popping up, highlighting special features and remembering people from the past.
There are great views of the bay from here, across to Pohara and Tarakohe. Pigeon Saddle which provides access to Totaranui. Out to Farewell Spit. Evidently when conditions are right you might get to see Mt Taranaki, 200 kilometres away.
There is plenty of parking on the north eastern side of the road. Please adhere to the signs and watch out for other traffic and people.
