ROCKWELL RAMBLE
A little about us.
We started Geocaching as a way to break the monotony of daily walks during lockdown. We realised that most in our area are in the countryside and not readily accessible to families daily. Therefore, we wanted to place some that would be easily accessible and fun too! (We’re hoping!)
The Route
This series of caches are based around the very popular, Rockwell Nature Reserve. It is just under 2.5 miles, including searching. There are some off the beaten track, but still extremely accessible. This is a popular walk with regular dog walkers, therefore stealth is ESSENTIAL. Not totally wheelchair/pram friendly though. (Sorry) There is plenty of parking in nearby streets.
In wet weather, wellies/walk boots are advised! This area can also get flooded at times, however all caches are out of the flood areas.
There is a combination of cache sizes, ranging from Tupperware boxes to the obscure. Some have SWAG to swap out and some do not.
Please be aware of dog walkers and replace the caches, back where you found them. Please report any maintenance issues on the log also.
You can find more information about the reserve here...
