Geocache Description:

Nestled on the banks of the majestic Warrego River in South West Queensland, Cunnamulla is a regional hub for commerce in the outback and a ‘destination location’ for travelers eager to experience what outback Queensland has to offer.

Cunnamulla and the Paroo Shire are key producers of camel, beef, lamb and certified organic products including organic hay, with product being shipped across Australia.

If you're into the "foodie" culture and looking for a bit of "outback gastronomy" then Cunnamulla won't let you down. The freshest of meat and produce adorns the tables of local restaurants, pubs and eateries, giving you an amazing paddock to plate experience. After all, you haven't lived until you've tried a Cunnamulla Camel Pie!

As an RV friendly town Cunnamulla boasts the full range of facilities and services to meet the needs of caravan, RV and camper van owners including emergency repairs. Comfortable and homely accommodation is available with a range of motel, cabin, caravan and tourist park options that are close to key attractions in the region.

Local indigenous culture and history is very special to Cunnamulla locals as it helps define the people, the places, and the experiences Cunnamulla has to offer, and that travellers never forget.

It is truly the Essence of Outback Queensland and you’re always welcome in Cunnamulla and the Paroo Shire where you can Live like a local!
