CRGT - Schloss Seggau
Die Geschichte der Umgebung reicht bis in die Zeit der Kelten und der Römer zurück. Das einzigartige Lapidarium (Sammlung von römischen Steindenkmälern) an der Außenmauer des Oberschlosses legt Zeugnis darüber ab.
Schloss Seggau war bis 1786 Repräsentationssitz der steirischen Bischöfe und bis ins 20. Jahrhundert Sommerresidenz derselben. Das Schloss diente über viele Jahrhunderte als Bischöfliches Mensalgut dem Unterhalt des jeweiligen Bischofs der Diözese Seckau und seinen Repräsentationspflichten. Es war in dieser Funktion auch zentraler Arbeitgeber für die Region und Ort der Begegnung bei vielerlei Anlässen.Das Hochschloss, von den Salzburger Erzbischöfen (Konrad I.) ab dem 11. Jahrhundert als Missions- und Verwaltungsbastion erbaut und ab 1218 durch die Bischöfe von Seckau erweitert, birgt herausragende Kunstschätze.
Die sogenannten "Fürstenzimmer" zählen zu den eindrucksvollsten Räumlichkeiten des Schlosses und befinden sich im zweiten Obergeschoss des Hochschlosses. Als fürstlich-bischöfliche Repräsentationszimmer stellen sie mit ihrer geschlossen barocken Ausstattung ein wahres Kunstjuwel dar und sind als solches weit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekannt. In Schloss Seggau befindet sich auch die größte historische Glocke der Steiermark: die "Seggauer Liesl". Sie wird jeden Sonntag und Feiertag um 12.00 Uhr noch von Hand geläutet. Die barocke Schlosskapelle (Marienkapelle) und die moderne Michaelskapelle mit Werken zeitgenössischer steirischer Künstler sind in ihrer Gegensätzlichkeit besonders ansprechend.

CRGT - Seggau Castle
The history of the area goes back to the time of the Celts and the Romans. The unique lapidary (collection of Roman stone monuments) on the outer wall of the upper floor of the castle bears witness to this.
Seggau Castle was the representative seat of the Styrian bishops until 1786 and also their summer residence until the 20th century. For many centuries the castle served as an ecclesiastical property to provide income for the bishop of the Diocese of Seckau and support him in his representational duties. It was also an important employer for the region and a meeting place for numerous functions.
The High C astle was built by the archbishop of Salzburg (Conrad I) as a mission and administrative bastion from the 11th century and enlarged by the bishops of Seckau from 1218 on. It is home to a number of outstanding artistic treasures.
The so-called "Prince Bishop's Rooms" are among the castle's most impressive. Located on the second floor of the High Castle, these representational rooms of the prince-bishops with their baroque furnishings are artistic jewels known far beyond the country's borders.
"Seggau Castle" is also home to the largest historical bell in Styria: the so-called "Seggauer Liesl". It is still rung by hand at 12 noon on Sundays and public holidays. The baroque Lady Chapel and the modern Chapel of St. Michael with works by contemporary Styrian artists provide a fascinating juxtaposition of past and present.

CRGT - Grad Seggau
Zgodovina pokrajine sega v čas Keltov in Rimljanov. Dokaz tega je edinstven lapidarij (zbirka rimskih kamnitih spomenikov) na zunanji strani obzidja zgornjega gradu.
Grad Seggau je bil do leta 1786 sedež avstrijskih štajerskih škofov in vse do 20. stoletja njihova poletna rezidenca. Grad je več stoletij služil kot škofovsko mensalno imetje za vzdrževanje škofa škofije Seckau in njegovih dolžnosti. V tej funkcije je bil tudi osrednji delodajalec regije in mesto srečevanja ob različnih priložnostih.
Zgornji grad je bil zgrajen v 11. stoletju kot misijonska in upravna bastija po zaslugah salzburških nadškofov (Konrad I.). Leta 1218 so ga razširili po zaslugi nadškofov Seckaua. Grad skriva edinstvene umetniške zaklade.
Tako imenovane "knežje sobe" sodijo med najbolj impresivne prostore gradu, ki se nahajajo v drugem nadstropju zgornjega gradu. Knežje-škofovske sobe s svojo zaprto baročno opremo predstavljajo pravi umetniški dragulj in so znane tudi izven državne meje.
V gradu Seggau se nahaja tudi največji zgodovinski zvon avstrijske Štajerske: "Seggauer Liesl". Vsako nedeljo in praznik ob 12. uri z njim ročno zvonijo. Baročna grajska kapela (Marijina kapela) in moderna Mihaelova kapela s stvaritvami sodobnih avstrijskih štajerskih slikarjev sta zanimivi zaradi medsebojnega kontrasta, ki ga ustvarjata.
