Geocache Description:

The  Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce has created an official GeoTour. Come Find Yourself in Rockport-Fulton for beachcombing, fishing, art, fun, birdwatching, kayaking, museums, history, seafood and more! More than 40 geocaches and bonus geocaches have been hidden in special places throughout the Rockport-Fulton area. Use your geocaching app or GPS to go on an adventure through our peninsula on the beautiful coast of Texas! Take pictures and post to social media using the hashtag #FindYourselfinRockportFulton #RFGeoTour #GeoTour.

It is a family cache, for the young and young at heart!  The posted coordinates are NOT the final stage of this cache. You must find the visual clue at the 1st stage which is located outside in the beautiful new Children's Garden. Then, using the clue, search for the Geocache container at the final stage inside the nearest public building.

When you find the cache look for a nice quiet place with privacy before opening it. Otherwise, people (Muggles) may get suspicious.

Be sure to close properly and please don’t place oversized items that won’t fit securely into cache.

REMEMBER to PLEASE replace the cache EXACTLY where you found it.

Cache is available Mon-Fri 9 am - 6 pm, Saturday 10 am - 2 pm and Closed Sunday

We express our gratitude to the Aranas County Public Library for allowing the placement & maintaining this geocache!  We also thank MiMi&PaPaC for providing the cache.

History:  The Aransas County Public Library was initially established through the efforts of the Woman's Club of Aransas County in 1956. The first Aransas County Public Library was housed in a building in Fulton donated by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bracht. A community book drive brought in more than 2,000 books which were placed on bookshelves made from apple crates.

In 1957, the Aransas County Commissioners agreed to take over administration of the library and provided a small room in the Aransas County Courthouse. By 1958, the books had been moved from Fulton and a librarian was hired. Support for the library also came through funding from various organizations and individuals.

The Library was moved again in 1964. Today's modern facility located at 701 E. Mimosa was built in 1988 and continues to expand the services it can provide the community. The library has an automated card catalog and in 1999 added public access to the Internet.
