The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce has created an official GeoTour. Come Find Yourself in Rockport-Fulton for beachcombing, fishing, art, fun, birdwatching, kayaking, museums, history, seafood and more! More than 40 geocaches and bonus geocaches have been hidden in special places throughout the Rockport-Fulton area. Use your geocaching app or GPS to go on an adventure through our peninsula on the beautiful coast of Texas! Located at the Fulton Historical Marker and the Fulton Schoolhouse Museum, the building is the original one-room schoolhouse of Fulton, TX that was rebuilt in the 1940s after being damaged by a hurricane. Visit the schoolhouse to see how it was originally set up, as well as artifacts from the era and a replica of the Fulton Mansion. Gift shop available on the premises.
The Daughters of the Republic of Texas are custodians of the building and were the ones responsible for turning the one-room schoolhouse into a museum. The building is owned and maintained by the Town of Fulton.
Hours:
The Town of Fulton School House tours will be closed until further notice, but the Letterbox Hybrid Geocache is available.
Normal operating hours will be Saturday & Sunday 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Tours for large groups or schools are available upon request.
