The CacheMavericks really enjoy puzzle type caches and ones that bring us to a cool area. Our first cache was a puzzle cache, this one is one that brings you to a really intersting place in Lancaster County.
I lived in Lancaster for 23 years before ever knowing about this place.
This old sycamore has been around for over 350 years back to the time of William Penn. Folks that run businesses at this location also told me that some historians actually think the tree may be closer to 1,000 years old! That may be a little bit of a stretch but there is also evidence that this tree has been signifigant as far back as the Susquehanna Indians using it as an important part of their community and culture.
You won't be dissapointed especially if you've never been to this area before.
Cache is a magnetic micro that isn't difficult to locate after you park, especially if you park in the area that looks more like a parking lot.
Please be careful around the tree, there are great opportunities for pictures and it would be great to see some of the pictures in the log.
Placed after getting permission from business owner.
Happy Cacheing!
