Intersection made famous in Copiague – The streets Kerrigan and Harding Rd were given their names in back in 1925 when the Amity Harbor community was planned unknowing that these 2 streets would have a new meaning over 70 years later. Nancy Kerrigan & Tonya Harding were rival figure skaters in the Winter Olympics. Nancy was clubbed 1 day before the US Figure Skating Championship by a close member of Tonya’s. This news lead to the street sign at this corner disappearing a few times that year. What year did this happen?
