During President George Washington tour of Long Island in April 1790 he dined in the Zebulon Ketcham Homestead. His travels for the day started at 8am in Jamaica in his cream colored coach led by 4 grey horses and arrived around 4pm to the Zebulon Ketcham Homestead. In 1927, the Babylon Town Board created a memorial to commemorate the visit. There were 2 Ketcham houses side by side. One perished in 1857 while the other was relocated to Amityville and still stands today. How old was President George Washington when came to visit Copiague?
