Welcome to Copiague History and facts Geo-Art design as part of an Eagle Scout project by Troop 2000. The Eagle represents the Copiague schools’ mascot and the Eagle scout rank in scouting. This GeoArt is designed to bring attention to the beautiful hamlet of Copiague while learning history & trivia you might not have known existed around you. This Eagle project was done in conjunction with the Town of Babylon Beautification Program.

One of the notable people from Copiague is Kenneth Earl Holiday born June 25th 1949. While in school he participated on the track team and was a star on his football team. He attended University of Maryland on a full scholarship but soon found a new passion as an actor. In 1969 he was the first black person to preform in a leading role on the college ‘main stage’. In 1976 he guest starred on shows like Kojak, Whats Happening, The Incredible Hulk, Benson, The Jeffersons, The Fall Guy and Doogie Howser, MD. Just to name a few. What famous show in 1986 did he take the role of Tyler Hudson?
