Welcome to Copiague History and facts Geo-Art design as part of an Eagle Scout project by Troop 2000. The Eagle represents the Copiague schools’ mascot and the Eagle scout rank in scouting. This GeoArt is designed to bring attention to the beautiful hamlet of Copiague while learning history & trivia you might not have known existed around you. This Eagle project was done in conjunction with the Town of Babylon Beautification Program.

Factory Center - In 1951 the ground broke for the “Industrial Center at Chettic and Garfield Ave” and the first of 3 factory were ready for occupancy. The first build had 10,000’ square feet the second was ready 30 days later with 14,000 square foot and the third was planned to open 60 days later with 20,000 square feet. Factories are almost a thing of the past now. There was talk of building a brewery here but that was cancelled. How many square yards in total are there between all 3 buildings?
