Welcome to Copiague History and facts Geo-Art design as part of an Eagle Scout project by Troop 2000. The Eagle represents the Copiague schools’ mascot and the Eagle scout rank in scouting. This GeoArt is designed to bring attention to the beautiful hamlet of Copiague while learning history & trivia you might not have known existed around you. This Eagle project was done in conjunction with the Town of Babylon Beautification Program.

The founding of the Marconiville community within Copiague can be traced back to two men, John Campagnoli and Guglielmo Marconi. Campagnoli became the president of the Sovereign Realty Company in 1908, after its purchase of the Brinckerhoff Manor. The land the Manor was on would later become Marconiville and Campagnoli would stay there to help the community’s progress. Marconiville was named after Gugliemo Marconi due to his friendship with Campagnoli and what achievement?
