Welcome to Copiague History and facts Geo-Art design as part of an Eagle Scout project by Troop 2000. The Eagle represents the Copiague schools’ mascot and the Eagle scout rank in scouting. This GeoArt is designed to bring attention to the beautiful hamlet of Copiague while learning history & trivia you might not have known existed around you. This Eagle project was done in conjunction with the Town of Babylon Beautification Program.

Susan E. Wiley Elementary School, one of four current elementary schools in Copiague, was named after Susan E. Wiley for her dedication to the community. Susan E Wiley was born in Amityville in 1902, then graduated Harriet Melissa Mills Teachers College. She went on to teach at the Copiague Union School from 1925 untill 1952. She was also a 6 year president of the Copiague PTA and a Girl Scouts leader. How many floors does the school have?
