Each of my Geocache locations will have a little story about its significance to me. I hope you enjoy getting to know me while finding the cache!
I had a below-knee amputation in February of 2020. After I received my first prosthesis I needed to learn how to walk - specifically balance - all over again. The greatest challenge was uneven surfaces. Quite a bit of my practicing was done on grass using my husband and trekking poles for stability.
This park is nice and quiet for a walk with the dog, playing catch or even jogging on the worn path. While you look for this cache please take your time to feel the uneven terrain under your feet. Take tentative steps and really feel the ground.
The posted coordinates are at a tree that would be great for climbing. Standing with the tree on your left facing the park, you reach the posted coordinates by heading NE roughly 90 feet to the final location on level ground.
