This fun sculpture was the winner of the People's Choice Award for the 2018 Castlegar Sculpture Walk! It was created by Spring Shine, Christopher Peterson, and Yvonne Boyd of Argenta, BC.
Now "The Keeper" has been joined by other sculptures throughout the Kootenays, created by the same artists and their friends. All have been dubbed "Koots", and you will find them in Slocan and Kaslo, as well as Castlegar. They even have their own Facebook page - Discover the Koots- "Discover giant magical concrete sculptures, of elemental beings that ‘live’ in spectacular public natural areas near towns and cities throughout the Kootenays, our goal is to create a world class sculpture circuit connecting our communities."
This Koots is located along a very popular, busy walking trail in Millenium Park. Please be stealthy. The cache is located within sight of "Koots", and also close to riverside lookouts. You're looking for a camo'd bison.
