Geocache Description:

This is one cache in a series being placed in honour of the Dewey Decimal System.

020 is the dewey code for library & information science. This has nothing to do with the cache or it's location, but everything to do with the series as a whole. :) In this section is where librarians put information about libraries themselves, including topics like administration and personnel management. Archives and other types of information centers are also included here. Museums are not, they have a different section.

Around Stage 1 you will find really interesting information about the layout of the base and what life was like for those who lived here. If there is no snow on the ground, take a look at the map located a short distance away, behind you to the right. The other thing you will find at Stage 1 is a great view of Edmonton! Now that you've enjoyed, it's time to find the coords to Stage 2.

As the magnet that hosted the coords has gone missing twice, I'm going to update this to a simple puzzle instead. According to the sign at GZ, which barrack block was located to the East of the parade square?

A. Muellin - N 53° 36.461' W 113° 30.083'
B. Spall - N 53° 36.432' W 113° 30.165'
C. Gault - N 53° 36.364' W 113° 30.127'
D. McKenzie - N 53° 36.298' W 113° 30.207'

Most of this cache can be completed while staying on paved or gravel paths, but it is an uphill walk to get to Stage 1. There are stairs if you prefer. Bring the geopups and geokids, all are welcome! Feel free to share a picture of the view from Stage 1 with your log!

NOTE: PLEASE be gentle removing the cache so you don't damage the host. Maybe just unscrew the container from the lid, it will probably be easier for you.
