Tuesday, 6 April 2021 is the first day of the new Hamilton-Auckland passenger train service called Te Huia. Connecting Hamilton and North Waikato communities to the public transport system of Auckland City. This has been tried before, but this time we hope commuters get on board and more people move out of Auckland city and into more affordable housing areas in the North Waikato. This is a huge opportunity for Huntly to grow its population and change its reputation.
