This cache is one of a small series placed within the grounds of Acorn Bank Gardens, with the kind permission of the National Trust. As such, please note that it is only accessible during estate opening hours, and at the time of writing subject to further access restrictions due to COVID pandemic precautions. Access to these caches is free to NT members, but entrance and parking charges will apply to visit the grounds. Dogs must be kept on leads in the grounds, and please be aware of deep and fast running water in the grounds
The ground of Acorn Bank are laid out around a series of ponds, fed from the mill leat, alongside the fast flowing Crowdundle Beck, with a collection of fairy houses and toadstools with a number of places to sit and admire the view.
This cache is a bit of an adventure across some stepping stones, so please keep an eye on your mini-cachers or wet feet may result!
Please bring your own pen and replace the cache carefully. Note that you don't need to touch the house with the rope ladder - that is not part of this cache!
