In a barren landscape stands a lone tree. Its foliage is gone and it's brilliant display of colour is but a distant memory. Its branches which once bent and swayed in the breeze now appear motionless and bare. Its trunk is cracked and stripped back to its solid parched core. It stands lifeless as a reminder of the splendor that once was. Waiting to be broken down to the earth, reused by the ground it once relied upon to stand tall. It no longer grows, shelters, nourishes or breathes.
Slowly hands reach out and gently touch it’s hard exterior. Brushing away the grey weathered image and replacing it with a bright blue exterior. Every brush stroke casts new light across its surface. Upward, its tangled branches reach to the sky and disappear into the dulcet tones.
Now blue, strong and vibrant. It stands taller than before. Standing out again, deep down the same tree yet it has a chance to again become something to behold.
This tree stands alone.
Blue trees have been popping up across the state brightening up our landscapes and our days.
The cache should be an easy find near the site of a blue tree and includes a logbook, writing stick and some small swag.
