Geocache Description:

This is one of my favourite places in the Peak District. I have been coming here on and off for about fifty years. It is now one of the ‘honey pots’ of the area but if you walk along a short way you can get away from the crowds. The cache gives a good view of the valley and is a short way, mostly up, off the footpath. Nearby is the ‘Fishing Temple’ mentioned in Isaac Walton and Charles Cotton’s ‘The Compleat Angler’.
There is usually plenty of roadside parking space at n53.07.467 w01.48.633.
