Welcome to Shiawasee Basin Preserve! The preserve protects one of the largest and purest prairie fen complexes in the Midwest. It is home to the largest remaining Poweshiek Skipperlings which is a federally endangered species. There are many benches and several plaques with information along the way. The trails are rolling and fun to hike. Enjoy the park and the views.
Please obey all park rules. The park is open from 8 am to 8 pm. Be aware that hunting is allowed in this park during hunting seasons. No permit fees are required.
