A few years about our roof was suffering and squirrels could climb up a tree, jump onto our roof, clamber inside the soffit, and make a nest. I set a live trap by the fence and we caught seven squirrels in one week. We would bring them up to this park to let them go, to the great delight of the dog.
After a week of no action in the trap, I caught a black and white squirrel. Well it wasn't a squirrel and I didn't bring it here to release. I carefully reached over the fence with a board, sprung the trap and let the skunk go.
After that, whenever the squirrel trap needs to be set, it goes on top of the fence, not on the ground. I don't want the stress of catching any more black and white squirrels.
