Geocache Description:

John H. Bothwell established the Stonyridge farm in 1896 atop a 120-foot high bluff North of Sedalia, MO.

This is a really cool building! It has been called Sedalia's "Castle on the Hill." The state did a great job of placing the entrance to the place, so that you get a chance to appreciate the view of the lodge from the valley below.

There are guided tours 7 days a week, year round. (See the website below for hours and fees.) The building itself is worth the tour, but the site chosen for it is spectacular!

For more information on this state historic site, please go to this site:
http://www.mostateparks.com/bothwell.htm

Please go to the above coordinates and read the plaque you find there.  As proof you were there, please email me the answer to this question: How much did Bothwell's car weigh?

My Intention here is that you ACTUALLY VISIT THE SITE.

You should also check out the antique steam engine at the store near the entrance of the park.

By the way, there is a traditional cache only a couple hundred meters away.

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your visit!
