Wolcott Cemetery is the final resting place of Benajah Wolcott and many members of his family. Benajah fought in the Revolutionary War. He was born 4-7-1762 and died 8-11-1832. He came to the Marblehead area in 1806 to survey the land. He was the first keeper of the Marblehead lighthouse. Back on the main road is the Keepers House which was his home. Tours are given of the Keepers House in the summer time. Wolcott Cemetery is Ottawa County's first Christian burial grounds. Bring your own pen.
