Llanyrafon Manor - (Formally Llanyrafon Farm) was probably built between 1550-1610,though there seems to have been a house on the site from the Middle Ages.It originally belonged to the Cisterian Monks of Llantarnam Abbey and was acquired by the Morgan family when they purchased the Manor of Edlogan in1558.
Easily recognisable are features of Tudor and Stuart building in Monmouthshire.
Being built near the Afon Lwyd,it has been considerably altered over the last four hundred years and thus is an excellent example of the development of the small manor house in the county.
The refurbishment 'Llanyrafon Manor' was completed in 2012.The impressive building,a grade 11 listed building has been restored to CADW guidelines.
