1968. What a year that was historically. War, civil rights demonstrations, assasinations, space travel, the advent of the Boeing 747, the election of Richard Nixon, 60 Minutes debuts, and the Beatles release "Hey Jude". It was also the year I FINALLY started first grade. For six years I had woefully watched my older siblings go to school while I yearned to grow up so I could start my education. If only that desire to go to school had lasted past the second grade.
