Introduzione
Una leggenda narra che tanto tempo fa viveva in Grecia un coraggioso e giovane principe di nome Teseo, figlio di Re Egeo, che governava la città di Atene. Un giorno Teseo si trovava al porto e vide un gruppo di 7 giovani uomini e 7 fanciulle in lacrime, che stavano per essere imbarcati su una nave per essere portati a Creta ed essere offerti in sacrificio al Minotauro, un mostro che viveva in un labirinto. Nessuno era mai uscito dal labirinto una volta entrato. Il sacrificio doveva essere compiuto ogni sette anni per pagare un tributo a Creta, un accordo che era stato preso dopo la sconfitta di Atene nella guerra contro Creta. Teseo, contrariato, salì sulla nave e disse che avrebbe ucciso il Minotauro. Al suo arrivo fu condotto con gli altri dal Re Minosse e gli spiegò il suo piano. Il Re di Creta rise e disse che sarebbe stato impossibile uccidere il mostro e uscire dal labirinto. Teseo sarebbe stato il primo ad andare in contro alla sua fine. La principessa Arianna che vide la scena, si innamorò di Teseo. Quella notte Arianna incontrò Teseo e gli diede una spada e un gomitolo di filo che lo avrebbe aiutato, e gli disse “Quando entrerai nel Labirinto, lega un capo del filo alla porta e srotolalo via via, mentre prosegui nei corridoi bui. Se riuscirai a uccidere il Minotauro, questo filo sarà la tua unica speranza di trovare l’uscita.” Teseo fece come detto da Arianna, uccise il Minotauro e riuscì ad uscire dal labiritno. Dopodiché scapparono insieme.

Introduction
A legend tells that long ago there lived in Greece a brave young prince named Theseus, son of King Aegeus, who ruled the city of Athens.One day Theseus was at the harbour and saw a group of seven young men and seven young girls in tears, about to be put on a ship to be taken to Crete to be offered as a sacrifice to the Minotaur, a monster that lived in a labyrinth.No one ever came out of the labyrinth once they entered it.The sacrifice had to be made every seven years to pay tribute to Crete, an arrangement that had been made after Athens' defeat in the war against Crete.Theseus, annoyed, boarded the ship and said he would kill the Minotaur.Upon his arrival he was led with the others to King Minos and explained his plan. The King laughed and said that it would be impossible to kill the monster and get out of the labyrinth. Theseus would be the first to meet his end. Princess Ariadne, who saw the scene, fell in love with Theseus.That night Ariadne met Theseus and gave him a sword and a ball of thread to help him, and said "When you enter the Labyrinth, tie one end of the thread to the door and unravel it as you go along the dark corridors. If you succeed in killing the Minotaur, this thread will be your only hope of finding your way out." Theseus did as Ariadne said, killed the Minotaur and managed to get out of the labyrinth. After that they escaped together.
