Geocache Description:


Small magnetic tube placed a short walk away from Morecambe Cemetery. Cache is not placed within the cemetery nor the adjoining church grounds. Short walk of around 5 minutes from statues to final location.

At the location, you will find a fine pair of wooden statues, carved by chainsaw in elm, created by artist Tim Burgess, depicting a Fisherman and Shrimp Lady, placed to remember Morecambe, and particularly Poulton Village's fishing heritage.

Near the statues, look for the grave of George Snow which contains the information needed to find the final hide.

While in the cemetary, you will find several war graves marked with red poppies. If visiting during blackberry season, on the town hall side of the cemetary, you will find a bountiful crop - bring a container!
