Ashøj – udkig til Thors Hammer
English below
Her fejredes eksempelvis i 1888 100-året for stavnsbåndets løsning, og her overværede 5.000 mennesker et friluftsspil sankthansaften 1933.

Ashøj - look for Thors Hammer
In the early days, Ashøj was acquired by a local association for the Conservative People's Party. The place has over time been a popular gathering place in Sydthy. Here, for example, the 100th anniversary of the staff band's solution was celebrated in 1888, and here 5,000 people watched an open-air play on Christmas Eve 1933.
From Ashøj, the painter Jens Søndergaard enjoyed reproducing the surrounding landscape in a series of undulating, saturated images. The place contains a Folkets Talerstol (Thors Hammer) and several monuments for Danish conservative politicians, including John Christmas Møller.
Close by is a packed lunch house with fresh water (in summer) as well as table and bench sets.
