GPS-laite, kynä, vara-akut, taskulamppu ja kännykkä kuuluvat itselläni vakiovarusteisiin kun lähden kätköille. Lisäksi mukana kulkee olosuhteiden mukaan vaikkapa joitakin seuraavista: UV-lamppu, tikkaat, kätköonki, pinsetit, magneetti, peili, 9V paristo, monitoimityökalu, SUP-lauta, puhallettava kumivene, kahluuhousut, naskalit... Mikään näistä ei kuitenkaan ole nyt tarvittava apuväline.
Kannattaakin varautua siihen, että ensimmäisellä vierailulla oikea työkalu ei ole mukanasi. Tai voihan se olla, etenkin jos olosuhteet ovat oikeanlaiset. Todennäköisesti et kuitenkaan ole aiemmin tarvinnut kyseistä työkalua kätkön löytämiseen. Kannattaa myös huomioida, että työkalussa pitää olla tietty ominaisuus, jota "markettimalleista" ei yleensä löydy.

It is likely that you don't have the correct tool with you when you first visit the starting point. Or you might, especially in case the conditions are right. Probably you haven't needed this tool before for solving the cache location. Also it's worth noting that your tool has to have a certain property which typically is missing in the "supermarket models".
