Geocache Description:

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD TO THIS SERIES, PLEASE CONTACT THE SERIES OWNER (SEE BELOW)

We are often told (correctly, if somewhat ideologically), that geocaches should take us to somewhere "interesting", and not simply be placed just for the sake of it. The aim of this series is to try and adhere to this ideal by basing caches around details given on an Interpretation Board about the area in which it is situated. By definition, it is hoped that this information will be "interesting", and will help the cacher discover things about the area that would often not be revealed by a traditional cache.

While out maintaining my other 4 FYI caches around Tong i have discovered another information board so This is the fith of a series of 5 FYI Multi caches, based on information to be gathered from the 5 of Interpretation Panels that are scattered around the grounds of ST. Bartholomew'a church.

It will be in your best interest to solve all 5 FYI boards before you go on your walk. This cache is not included in the circular walk of the other 4 FYI caches because how they are spaced out. This cache is best done along side the Church Micro

At the published co-ordinates, you will find the aforementioned information board

Please find the answers to the following questions:

1/. Add the 4 digits together in the year the College and Church construction began = A

2/. How many Priests occupied the college = B

3/. How many responsibilities are outlined in the 1st paragraph that the priests and warden had to do = C

4/. The buildings remained in ruins until they were demolished in the late 1D00s

5/. The Castle had become uninhabitable by the early XYth Century. Add X + Y = E

6/. The empty castle became unsafe and was demolished by the army in 195F

Your prize is waiting for you at

N52 39 . ((C+E)(B-F)(D-A))

W002 1D . ((C+F)(A-C)(F-C)

Checksum total for 15 numbers = 47

Please no spoiler photos of the cache hide in your log, other photos are acceptable.

Tweezers maybe required, bring your own pen and please replace cache back exactly how you found it, thankyou

Please note the 4 other FYI caches the paths could be muddy or flooded after heavy rain, suitable footwear is advisable. Slight gradient up at start of walk, there are a couple of stiles to climb over and a short walk back along a quiet country lane but this cache there will be no mud but be careful of the occasional passing car

I hope that you find this an interesting variation on the caching experience. For a full list of all FYI caches in the series, please go to https://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?code=BM4RZ8H
