Hole Ford has been here for a long time. Recently linked with tragedy in 2012 when a night porter from the Eglington Arms was swept away in his car. Below a map from around 1900. It looks from this as if the ford may sit on the boundary between East Ren and South Lanarkshire (or perhaps Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire back then....).
