Delta prekriva površinu od 12.000 hektara. Delta Neretve od Metkovica do ušća sa sjevera i sjeveroistoka omeđena je ograncima dinarskih planina, a s juga podgradinsko-slivanjskim brdima. Najvažniji gradovi su Ploce, Opuzen, i Metkovic.
The delta covers an area of 12,000 hectares. The Neretva delta from Metkovica to the mouth from the north and northeast is bordered by branches of the Dinaric mountains, and from the south by the Podgradinsko-Slivan hills. The most important cities are Ploce, Opuzen, and Metkovic.
