Lots of history here in Oakwood Cemetary. Diamond Bessie is among the most famous residents. A story of her history is retold every May in Jefferson during the Pilgrimage Celebration. The cement covering, I am sure, is here to prevent grave robbers from years past. She needs a cache to bring her more visitors.
