Same geocache, new name. After receiving notifcation that several people could not find this tricky geocache, we went out to see if someone had removed it. Unfortunately, we couldn't find it before it was archived. So, we returned in early winter 2020 and voila! There it was, right off the trail under a log. Right where we'd left it. We took it home, spruced it up and returned it to a slightly improved spot so it wont get buried under so much leaf decay. Anyway, we had to re-register this cache with a new name since the old one had been archived.
So, to review, the best way to find this geocache is to start in the back of the park. Park by the maintenance shed for the most direct walk to the cache. You do not need to do any bushwhacking to find this cache. Just stay on the trail. Once you cross over the creek, head to the left. You will see some damage from a storm a few years ago and some fallen trees. When you see the tree that's broken in half, you're getting warm. Look up high, as I've moved this cache off the ground so it won't get buried by leaf decay and rot. Hopefully!
Good luck!
