I drive past this rest area almost daily, and I always think it would be a great place for a cache, so today the grands and I put one there!
This cache is a Rx bottle located at a rest area on route 12 in Lewis County. This rest area pays tribute to the Black River Canal system that ran from Rome NY to Carthage NY from 1855-1926. It's a great place to stop and stretch your legs, have a picnic, walk your pet, and learn a little history of our area. The cache is a small pill bottle with a camo lid. It can be found during all seasons.
