Something that drives me crazy are "No Outlet" signs that are either located on streets that DO have an outlet or located in places that are OBVIOUSLY not routes to other locations. I picture an unfriendly neighbor or neighborhood association requesting a sign just to keep anyone else out. I figure I should place a cache by them to make sure that some friendly visitors will head to that location.
This No Outlet sign is a lie. It is obviously here to prevent drivers from using Ridgeview Drive, Thornton Woods Way and Cartersville Rd as a shortcut to avoid the backup that happens at the four-way stop at the intersection of Oakland Mills Road and Guilford Road. Still, there IS an outlet, and putting a misleading sign instead of installing some speed humps or other traffic-calming devices is a bad way to discourage drivers from cutting through, in my opinion.
