The original store was a block building in the shape of an L. When they put the new road through, they took all the main store and lifted the small part of the L and left the garage and the house, which they turned into the store again, the pheasant room was the back of the garage they let it go because they were so in the dumps after losing the store they had to sell and move to town. The was a restaurant here as well. The restaurant closed in the late 1980s. And The owners moved to Huron in 1991.
The state owns the land now. Which holds the road maintenance equipment.
Be stealthy as it is a busy corner at times. People do leave their cars near for short-term parking. A stamp has been placed in this cache to make it a letterbox. Please leave the stamp in the cache. It is NOT a trade item. I grew up not too far from here, I remember driving by and seeing the the abandoned buildings at this corner
