As a previous attempt at hiding a Great Wall cache failed, I decided to hide an extremely small cache this time. The cache is located very close to the wall, yet should be secluded enough for someone to visit.
The cache consists of ONLY a piece of paper for logging. There is no room for goodies, sorry. Make sure that you bring a pen or pencil, and just sign your name and add the date.
There is a fee for accessing the Wall at Badaling (I don't know what it is, as it was covered by our tour), though I wouldn't be surprised if somebody found that it to be possible to climb to this spot without paying.
Because the Olympics will be held in Beijing in 2008, I also wouldn't be surprised if this area undergoes some major renovation at some point. I will upload some spoiler pictures when I return home.
WARNING: The cache is located out of sight, but well within shouting distance of people walking on the wall. Still, in light of the news item reported by worldtraveler below, it seems prudent only to hunt this cache during the daytime and not alone.
