Geocache Description:


This is NO49 in a series of caches. Some will be at sporting venues others may not.

The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.

It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player 

in the Australian Football League during the regular season.

This is decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.

The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exception of an intermission

from 1942 to 1945due to World War 2

Players are ineligible to win the Medal if they have been suspended for on field offences.

The 1982 Brownlow Medal was won by Brian Wilson from the Melbourne [demons] Football Team.

He had 23 votes.

 

The cache maybe hard to get when there is a sporting event  being held.

The cache is a small screw top container with log and a few swaps
