Shimamura Silkworm Hometown Park is located in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture.
It is located on the south side of the Tone River, with Isesaki City across the Tone River, and a free ferry (Shimamura Ferry) as part of the city road (Route 6603).
The ferry terminal is located near the park. (Not in operation as of April 2021)
Also nearby is the former home of Yahei Tajima, a World Heritage Site and National Historic Site, as well as various attractions related to sericulture.
From the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period, Yahei Tajima contributed to the sericulture industry in Japan by systematically perfecting the Seiryoiku method of raising superior silkworm seeds.
It is possible to park your car in this park and visit them.
Caches have been set up in the park.

「しまむら蚕のふるさと公園」は群馬県伊勢崎市にある公園です。
場所は利根川の南側にあり、利根川を挟んで伊勢崎市があり、市道（6603号線）の一部として無料の渡し船（島村渡船）があります。
渡し船の乗り場が公園の近くにあります。（2021年4月時点運休）
また、近くには世界遺産、国指定史跡である田島弥平の旧宅があり、また養蚕に関する各種の見所があります。
田島弥平は、幕末から明治時代にかけて優れた蚕種の育成法として清涼育を体系的に完成させ日本の養蚕業に貢献しました。
この公園に車を止めてそれらを見学することが可能です。
