Welcome to the City of Laurel Sportsplex Soccer Fields. The sportsplex had its first ball game in 1999. It was presented the 1999 Mississippi Recreation and Park Association Facility Design Award of Merit and 1999 Engineering Excellence Honors Award from the Mississippi Consulting Engineering Council. The sportsplex has an outstanding reputation for excellence.

This cache is a straightforward hide in the southeastern corner of the complex, right on its border. It involves a hike of about 400 meters from the parking location. I came up here for an event that was delayed a couple of hours, and since I’d found all the existing caches in the vicinity, I thought, what could I do? Why, hide a new cache, of course. It rained heavily the night before I hid this, but the fields were only moderately soggy and most of the hike is on dry concrete. Cache contains a logsheet. Unfortunately I did not have a small enough writing implement, so BYOP. Please be sure not to drop the cache.
