Higashi-Koganei Station opened in the year of the Tokyo Olympic (1964), and the elevation was completed in 2009. There is an opening monument at about 400 meters southeast of the station.
東小金井駅は、東京オリンピックの年（1964年）に開業し、2009年に高架化が完了しました。駅から東南約400メートルのところに開設記念碑があります。
