You can approach this cache from the south by turning off of US 82 at High Rolls, NM or from the north via La Luz Canyon Road (Forest Road 162B). In either case you will want to take Forest Road 162 to get to a parking area near the cache. The cache is at an elevation of approximately 6600 feet.
You can reach the cache by taking a short, not to difficult hike through pinion and juniper country. Enjoy the views of the La Luz Canyon, Fresnal Canyon, Calico Peak and the Tularosa Basin during the hike.
